taken before one this 25th. day of Septemr: 1786
Who being upon Oath saith that between the hours of seven
and eight in the Evening of Friday last he was stopped by
two footpads near the Toll Gate in the City Road
who presented
Pistols and robbed him of a silver gilt Watch in a nourse
skin Case, jewelled, makers Name Harrison London No.
1778 a steel Chain, a brass key and one Guinea in Money
That he is very sure that the silver gilt Watch, steel Chain
and brass key now produced are the same that he was so
Robbed of as aforesaid and further says that he doth verily
believe that a person now present who calls himself James

is one of the Footpads that so robbed him as aforesaid
And the said Hannah Chilcott< no role >
for herself saith that she was
in Company with her said Husband at the time he was so
robbed as aforesaid and that she doth verily believe
that a person now present who calls himself James Wood< no role >
is the other Footpad that robbed her said Husband
