Who saith that on Friday last was sevenight about 8 o'Clock
in the Evening his Wife and himself, went to the Anchor and Crown Ale-

kept by one Mitchell in Black Horse Yard

they found nobody there That Examinant and his Wife had a Pint of Beer
and each of them Smoaked, and after staying about half an hour three persons
now present who call themselves Charles Frost< no role >

, with Mrs. Frost, came into said House, and joined Company with
this Examinant. That in about 20 minutes Robert Dawson< no role >
and Peter

two Officers belonging to the Public Office in East Smithfield
came
into said Alehouse attended by a Gentleman who had been Robbed (as this
Examinant believes) That said Dawson tapped Examinant on his shoulder
saying that he wanted to speak with him, that they went into a Parlour where
Dawson asked this Examinant if he had not broke out of the Tower Gaol
or
some Watch House the Night before, Examinant Replied replied that he
did not. that Dawson observed that from his Cloaths and complexion he
thought he had, that after Staying about 20 minutes the Gentleman and
Officers went away, That this Examinant and his Company remained there
until between 9 and 10 o'Clock when he and his Wife went home, and that
he [..] hath frequented Mitchell's House about a Month.
