The Information of Joseph Ivers< no role > takenonin
before us two of His Majesty's Justices
of the peace in and for the said County the
14th day of August 1786 .

Who being on his Oath
[..] saith that he
lives in Wests Gardens Ratcliff Highway in the parish
of Saint Paul Shadwell in the said County That on Thursday
Morning last about three o'Clock his Wife got out
of Bed and opened the Window Shutters of his said
House and returned to Bed again about five o'Clock his said
Wife said to him that somebody was at the Window and
got up in the Bed Informant also got up and [..]
[..] saw the person now present who
says his Name is John Lloyde< no role > get out of his
Window further saith that the said John Lloyde< no role > went
some Distance from the House and then
came back to this Informants Window to fetch
his Shoes which he had left behind that
whilst the said John Lloyde< no role > was Stooping for
his said Shoes this Informant catched him by the
Collar of his Coat which rent off and he got
away That on Examining his room he found
there had been Stolen from him one Great
Coat one Jean Frock one Blue Waistcoat
two Shillings in Silver one Clasp knife one
Linen Handkerchief a Quantity of Half Pence
one pound of Ten and also a Cap and one
Handkerchief belonging to his said Wife
further Saith that he then put on what Cloaths he could
find and followed the said person into Back Lane
