the 25th: day of July 1786
Who upon his oath Saith That about the hour of
One oClock this Morning as he was going up Plumbtree Street
to his Masters House Mr. Seton in Tavistock Street
Bedford Square
with whom he is Clerk
, He was
followed by a Woman who says her Name is Mary

who Stopd him and they Conversed together
for a few Minutes during which time the said Mary
Frazier< no role >
privately Stole from his person one half
Crown and piece and Three Shillings which She took from
his left hand Breeches pocket and also or Linnen
Handkerchief which She took from his left hand Coat
pocket The Watchman then coming up the said

made some Excuse and then left him
Immediately afterwards he put his hand to his pockets
and found he had been Robbed of the abovementioned
property This Informant therefore took the Watchman
to his Assistance and found her at a public House
where She was taken to the Watch house and searched
her no Money was found but the Handkerchief was
found on the Ground in the Watchouse where the said

stood which is this Informants property
