The Information of Henry Hobson< no role > of No. 27
Cumberland Street Middlesex Hospital Porter , and
Judith Stoll< no role > , House Keeper of Sir George
Beamont
< no role > Baronet of South Audley Street taken before me this 8th
day of June 1786 .

Who being upon Oath say and first the said Henry Hobson< no role >
says, that on Monday last about One o'Clock as he was bringing a
Basket of Linen containing two pair of Streets, 9 Shirts, 5 Tables Cloths
four Shifts, a Petticoat; one Dressing Gown, a Pair of Drawers, a
Dimitty Waistcoat, two pair Stockings, and seven Bits of Diaper,
from the said Sir George Beamont< no role > 's to Vincent Moore< no role > 's No. 11 Goodge
Street a Man in Lower Brook [..] Street [..] touched him upon
the shoulder, and said "he was called" and upon this Informants
turning Round, sawa person now present who calls himself John
Willis

the Prisoner John Willis< no role > standing upon the steps of a
House No. 53 , who told this Informant "If he would get him a
Coach he would give him Six pence", That this Informant was
going to do so with the Basket of Linen on his Head, when Willis
observed that "Informant had better leave the Basket with him
whilst he fetch'd the Coach" desired him to make haste as it was
to carry Two Ladies to Henrietta Street , That Informant left the
Basket of Linen with said Willis, went to Bond Street and fetch'd
a Coach, and on his return with it to No. 53 aforesaid, he found said
Willis gone with the Basket of Linen. That he met said Willis the
same day in Oxford Road , whom he apprehended, and is very sure
he is the person who Stole said Basket of Linen. And the said
Judith Stoll for herself says that on Monday last between 12 and
1 o'Clock she delivered all the Linen before mentioned to the said
