taken before me this 15th June 1785

Who being on Oath say and first John Blundel says that
Yesterday afternoon between the Hours of Four & Five He went to
Mr. Brichleys a Lodging House (in the Minonry Westr. with a
Woman now present who calls Herself Alice Haines< no role >
) up Stairs
into a Room that he then had Two Guineas one of which He
gave to Mrs. Brichley to Change that He gave Her a Shilling
for the Room One Shilling for Half a Pint of sh [..] that
put the name [..] of the Change in a Tobacco Box with the
other Guineas that he put the said Box in his Coat Pocket
then pulled his Coat off and went to Bed with the said Alice
Haines< no role >
who partly undressed herself that he went to Keep
and an about Half an Hour awoke took the said Tobacco
Box out of his Pocket & missed the Guinea that He charged
the said Alice Haines< no role >
with taking the Guinea who desired
the said She had not been out of the Room that when this
Informant awoke He found the said Alice Haines< no role >
dressed
And Mary Brichley says that She keeps a Lodging House
in the Minonry
Westr. that between the Hours of Five & Six o'Clock
Yesterday Evening the aforesaid John Blundel came into her
House went up Stairs with the said Alice Haines< no role >
that She
gave the said John Blundel change for a Guinea went down
Stairs that they Stayed about an Hour & that no person
was [..] but the said John Blundel< no role >
Alice Haines< no role >
House [..] Little Girl who was never out of her Sight
