The Information of John Pearson< no role > George Allen< no role >
Abraham Graves< no role > , William Mumford< no role > , Robert Norcott< no role >
James Powel< no role > , Benjamin Little< no role > James White< no role > take
and John Cotes< no role > taken before me this 7th. day of June 1758

Who on their Oaths say, and first the said John Pearson< no role >
says that he is Gardener to Frances Cotton< no role > of Hammersmith that her
House was Shut up and fastened on Friday Night last between 9
& 10 o'ClockThat about ½ past 2 on Saturday Morning he was alarmed
by a Dog in the house, he saw some Men going from the House to
the River Side and got into a Boat and put off, at which time they
were 5 in NumberThat he came down, found the House was
robbedThat he alarmed the Maid, called Mumford a Waterman
with whom he went to Chelsea Bridge on Horseback, called up
Graves and Shewed his [..] Man [..] the Boat who had robbed
his Mistress House and then in Sight on the River And said
George Allen< no role > says that he is her FootmanThat the House was
robbed that Night of a spring Table Clock, a blue and gold Purse
and a Reading Glass with divers other thingsAnd the said Abraham
Graves
< no role > says that he was called up by said Pearson and saw the
five Men in the Boat going down the RiverThat he got into a
Boat with the said William Mumford< no role > James Powel< no role > and John Coats< no role >
and pursued them with a cry of Stop Thief and said five Men landed at Nine Elms where
three of them were taken Viz. Thomas Groves< no role > , Benjamin in Moore< no role >
and John Williams< no role > now presentThat Informant saw said Groves
drop a Handkerchief in a Barge near where they landed and afterwards
found two Pick lock keys in his PocketAnd said William Mumford< no role >
says that he was with said Graves at this time and assisted in
