The said Thomas Collins< no role >
on his Oath saith That on
the fifth day of November 1783 the said George Baptist
and one James Servell< no role >
and this Deponent stole took
and carried away from and out of a Grave in the
Chanul of the Parish of Church of St. James Westminster
aforesaid a lead Coffen of the Value of Nineteen Shillings or thereabouts which (after cutting to
pieces) they sold to oneNorth of Little
Vine Street
in the said parish
[..] pt the Nails
thereof some of which were sold to a B [..] gier in
CAnd this Informant further Saith That
sometime in the Month of March last the said
George Baptist and one John Paul< no role >
and this
Deponent stole took and carried away from and
out of the North Vault under the said Parish Church
of St. James Westminster
one other large lead Coffin
and two small lead Coffins of the value of Twenty two Shillings or thereabouts in which from the
Sizes thereof this Deponent apprehends and believes
one grown persons and two Children had been there
interred That having cut the said three lastmentd.
