The Information of Christopher Indge< no role > of
Chequer Court Charing Cross Waiter and John
Atkinson
< no role > one of the Beadles of the Parish of
Saint Martin in the fields taken before me this
8th. Day of December 1784.

Who being on Oath say and first the said Christopher Inge< no role >
says that at ¼ past one o'Clock this morning as he was going
home he saw a person now present who calls himself Elizabeth
Worley
< no role > standing at the end of Chequer Court where he lives that
said Worley asked Informant where he was going who replied
home. That said Worley immediately seized Informant by the
Collar when he felt her take his Watch from his Pocket when
he said you have got my Watch. That he immediately secured
her and called out "Watch". that immediately Atkinson came to
his assistance and took said Worley into Custody. And the said
John Atkinson< no role > says that on hearing Watch called he immediately
ran to where the Outery was and found said Indge standing
against the Wall and said Worley had hold of him by the
Collar, that Informant took said Worley in Custody and on
searching her found the Watch now produced under her left
Armbeingbetween her shift and Gown. And the said Christopher
Indge further says that the Watch now produced is his property
and is the Watch that he was so Robbed of.
