This Informant David Levy< no role > Saith That he is a Constable
of the Parish of Saint James Dukes< no role > place London and
that on Sunday morning the Thirty first of October last between
the hours of three and four OClock, a charge was brought
into the Watchhouse by Thomas Taylor< no role > and Thomas Bond< no role > Watchmen
of the said Parish of Saint James (which Prisoner was George
Goldsmith< no role > the prisoner now under Examination who then
had a Bundle in his Custody which they supposed he had
stolen) the said David Levy< no role > then asked the said George
Goldsmith< no role > how he came by the bundle to which Goldsmith
made Answer that he came from Deptford and that the
Bundle belonged to his Shipmates And on searching
him found in his Possession, One Pinch back Watch with
Cham and Twazars, three pair of Cotton Stockings, one Black
silk Cardinal, One blue silk Cardinal in made, One flowered
Waistcoate one pair of Leather Gloves, three white Handkerchief
four Cotton Ditto, three White Aprons one of them laced, sundry
pieces of Linnen, Three Guineas and half in Gold, Three half Crown
pieces, seven shillings in Silver, Nineteen shillings and Ten
pence half penny in half pence and one shilling and Nine
pence three farthings, This Informant then look the said
George Gold< no role > smith to the Poultry Compter and left him there

immediately took them, and on searching them he
formed in the Possession of Jones now under Examination

Swallowed) and five shillings in Half pence tyed up in a
paper And this Informant further Saith that he found
in the Possession of Lawrence Hall the prisoner now
