of stealing Lead from the Summer
House of the Rt Honble Lord Paulet
at Twichemham his Property
saith, That he found the lead her is
Accused of Stealing on the Shore Near
Sr Charles Argills< no role > which he supposed
had been Dropt there and he took it
home to his House in hopes of a
reward bing offerd, and the fright he
was In when he saw the search Warrant
made him make his Escape hastily one
of the house the at the same Jones he
confesses when the Constable enquired
for the said Lead he denized at being in
the House the he knew it to be on the
Garret where he himself had laid it
nor does he deny that he has absconded
ever since February when the lead was
found in his House for fear of being taken
up on Suspicion of Stealing it
