The Information of Mary English< no role >
and Ann Recd taken in Oath
this 18 June 1784

Who being in their Oaths say and find the said Mary English< no role > for
herself saith on Thursday evening the 17 at this instant about half past
Ten having been at Work all Day in the Fields She [..]
[..] for a lodgingand Was at the Treasure met
by Thomas Holland< no role > Who had seen her before and as She told him she
intended to go St. Arms lane to a lodging he promised to Shew law the Way
when they come their the Door at the house which she Pitched upon
was locked on which Holland told her he could take her to the Room of
a Young Woman who lay by herself She accordingly Went thickes and Went
to Bed with the said Young Woman and Holland laid on the side of the
Bed with his Cloths [..] and ordered the Watchman to call him a half
past three OClock She believes he might go out but being asleep can only
say that he returned as he believes about seven at what time the woman
and she even still in Bed. Holland went out soon after and in about
ten minutes the Woman Went out also. When she was gone out a pe [..]
Went to get up also but found That her Stays her Gown her Apron and
Shoes and Stockings and buckles had been taken away on which she returned
to bed again and crying loudly some people assembled and She come before
a Magistrate

And the said Ann Reed< no role > for herself saith that on Friday morning the 18
instane she having been to the Cook for under saw Holland that the
Window Shutter of the Room when Deponent had laid and in about
ten minutes after she saw Margaret Hewet< no role > go out with Mary
English
< no role > Gown on her Back her Stays on her Arm and Holland
Wastcoat throwed over them this was about ½ past 7
