The Information of John Cammal< no role > , and Thomas
Porter
< no role > taken on Oath the fourth day of June
1754 before me one of his Majestys Justices
of the Peace for the County of Middlesex

These Informants both say That on Monday night [..]
the Thirty first day of May last about a Quarter of an hour
past Nine O'Clock as they were going by Bethnal Green
Workhouse in their way to White Chapel they were stopped
by four men who surrounded them, And this Informant
Thomas Porter< no role > saith that one of the fourth men knocked
him down and immediately held a Cutlass over his head
and demanded his money or his life Andthisimmediately
riffled this Informants Pockets and took out of his
Breeches Pockets three pence in half pence, and took
out of his Waistcoat Pocket some keys and some papers
but returned the Keys and papers [..] say might was no
service to him and bid this Informant put his hat before
his Eyes otherewise he would be a Dead man, And further
say that he verily believes that William Johnson< no role >
the Prisoner now under Examination is one of the four
men who Robed him and is the same person four
held the Cultass over his head at the time And this
Informant JOhn Cammel< no role > further saith That when
he this Informant and the said Thomas Porter< no role > were stopped by
by the fourmen as before mentioned he saw one of the
four knock down the said Thomas Porter< no role > and the other
three came to this Informant saized him by the Collor
and one of them Robbed him of his silk Handkerchief which was
about his Neck, and the other two Robbed him of his
Silver Watch and further saith that he verily believes
that Thomas Randall< no role > the Prisoner now under
Examination is one of the four persons who Robbed him
as before mentioned.
