The King agst. Keyran Ryan< no role > For Forgery< no role >

Thomas Curk< no role > of New Compton Street in the Parish of
Saint Giles in the fields in the County of Middlesex Baker maketh Oath
and Saith that on or about the Sixth day of the present Month of
July Keyran Ryan< no role > was committed to the New Prison Clerkenwell
Green in the County of Middlesex by Thomas Brooksbank< no role > Esquire one
of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the said County on the
Oath of this Deponent and others for forging and counterfeiting or procuring
to be forged and counterfeited the last Will of Patrick otherwise John
Welch
< no role > late a Seaman belonging to His Majesty's Ship A six deceased,
in Order to receive Wages due for the Service of the said Patrick otherwise
John Welch< no role > on Board the said Ship and this Deponent saith that
previous to the said Keyran Ryans Commitment as aforesaid Probate
of the said forged Will had been granted by the Prerogative Court of
Canterbury And this Deponent further saith that he is advised that no
Indictment can properly be preferred against the Prisoner for forging
the said Will, until the said Probate has been called in or declared
null and void by the said Prerogative Court, and that he is
informed and believes that Mr. George Gostling Prorter in Doctors
Commons is employed to take the necessary Steps for that Purpose
And this Deponent also saith that he has been informed by the said
Mr. Gostling (which Information he believes to be true I that
according to the Ordinary Proceedings of the said Court, the said
Probate will in all Probability be declared null and void on the
Thirtieth day of the Present month of JulyAnd
Lastly this Deponent Saith that he hath a Letter of Attorney
from his Mother who is the lawful Sister and next of him of
the said Patrick otherwise John Welch< no role > deceased authorizing this
Deponent to obtain Letters of Administration to the Effects of the
said deceased who died Intestate as he hath been informed and
verily believes
