Dept. to then saw the Deced, who was a Constable
of Part of the Tower Hamlets, lying down
upon [..] the Ground on his Back
unable to move or Speak, Dept. did not
see the Deced receive any Blow, but some
Person there said that he was struck by
a High Constable or Constable, Says that
upon a Gentleman there saying that he
would take care of the Man Dept. went
away, and saw the Deced afterwards
at Wood's Hotel
And this Dept. further says he did not
tell Mr. Sheridan that he believed
the intention of the Constables had
been to make a Riot.
