John Hunter< no role > of Leicester Square in the
Parish of St. Martin in the Fields Surgeon
on his Oath Saith that about Eight o'Clock
last Night Dept. was desired to came to
the Deced (by the order of Lord Hood< no role > and
Sir Cocil Wray< no role > as Dept. was informed)
Says that he came immediately, and saw
the Deced at Mr. Wood's Hotel in Covent
Garden Perfectly insensible, Says that
he Examined the Deced, and found no
external Injury the Deced having been
bled in the Arm (by Mr. Andrew are
Apothecary as Dept, was informed) Says
that the Deced continued insensible
and Dept. left him about Nine o'Clock
saying that he would call again in the Me [..]
but doubted whether he should find
Deced alive; Says that he reced a Note
on his coming home last night about twelve o'Clock from
Mr. Jackson desiring him to meet Mr.
Sheldon the Surgeon this Morning about
Ten o'Clock, to which Note Dept. sent an
Answer by his Servant but the Servant
when he returned informed this Dept.
that the Deced was dead Says that he
has this day opened the Body of the
Deced and found three of his Ribs
broken on the left side, a good deal
of Bloody Water on both sides the Cavity
of the Chest and a little Extravacated, Blood
in the Substance of the Lungs on the
left side Says that on taking off the
Scalp [..]
