THE Information of Jacob Loran< no role > Commander to the Ship Spooner
now lying Old Union Stairs in the Parish of Saint John of
Wapping in the said County and residing at No. 27 Great Hermitage Street
Saint George Middx Taken this 3d. Day of May 1784. before two
of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the said County.

Who being upon Oath saith Early in the Morning of Thursday the twenty
Ninth day of April last there was Stolen in as Lighter
which lay along side the said Ship Spooner One Tierce
of Rice and Three Bales of Cotton his property ley some person or
persons at present unknownAnd this Informant
further Saith that a certain prantity of Cotter (to Wit)
Three hundred pounds weight now produced and found
in the Custody possession and Keeping of Benjamin
Wolfe
< no role > of No.5 Cock Hill Shadwell Grocer and
Tobacconist and David Lewis< no role > brother in Law to the
said Benjamin Wolfe< no role > is as he verily believes Part of the said three
Buls of Cotton so stolen as aforesaid, And this
Informant lastly Saith that in verily believes and instant the said Benjamin
Wolfe
< no role > and David Lewis< no role > did unlawfully receives of
the same of and from such person or persons as
aforesaid well knowing the same to have been Stolen
