THE Information of Sarah Maybrook< no role > of No 50 Cannon Street St. George
Middlesex [..] Mary the Wife of John Kelly< no role > of No 47. in the same Street
and Parish Mariner and John Orange< no role > of Elbew Lane in the Parish of Saint Paul
Shadwell Weanor
Taken this 11th, Day of May 1784 before us two
of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the said County

Who being upon [..] their Oaths Jointly and Severally sat and first the
said Sarah May< no role > brook for herself Saith that between the Powers of five and six O'Clock
in the Evening of Friday of Seventh day of May Instant being then sitting at Work
at the door of the house No.50 abovementioned she saw a person now present and who
calls himself William Thomson< no role > come out of the house of the above named John
Kelly
< no role > who had something when hung out of [..] his Apron which Appeared to be rough dried, and
Informant suspecting that the same had been stolen (having seen another) person
[..] about the said house a little time before) she gave Informantion thereof to
her Brother who was then at hornes honing who acquainted Informants Grand mother
[..] who lives in the same house with the said John Kelly< no role > and further this
Informant saith notAnd this Informant Mary Kelly< no role > for herself Saith
that about half past six OClock of the say abovementioned there was Stolen in
the Kitchen of her fathers house of No.50 Canon street abovementioned One Linen
Shift, and One Table Cloath the property of John Kelly< no role > her husband and that
the Shift and Table Cloath now produced and Sworn to be found in the
Possession of William Thompson< no role > the prisoner now here present are the same
which were so stolen as aforesaid, and that she verily believes the said William
Thompson
< no role > is the person who feloniously took and Carried away the same
And further this Informant saith notAnd this Informant John
Orange
< no role > for himself Saith that as he was standing the Coroner of Canon Street
in Ratcliff Highway between five and six OClock in the Evening of
Friday the 7th. day of May Instant, he saw the prisoner William Thompson< no role >
running down Canon Street with great twentieth on and suspecting him
to have Committed some Robbery he pursued him as far as the Gun and Holly bush in Cable Street and there Stopped him and found the Shift and
Table Cloath now produced in his Apron whereupon he secured him &
brought him before in the said JusticesAnd further this Informant
Saith Not
