The Information of Richard Croxton< no role > and John
Bellett
< no role > This name instance is in a workspace. taken before me this 28th. day of May 1784

Who being upon Oath say and first the said Richard
Croxton
< no role > says that last Night about half past nine oClock he was
Robbed near the Swan in Kingsland Road of a Silver Watch and
five Shillings in Money by two Footpads immediately after
which he called out "Stop Thief" when they ran away
towards Shoreditch That this Informant in endeavoring to
escape from them fell down, at which time they robbed him
and that one of them said "Damn his Eyes cut him"- And
the said John Bellet< no role > says that he and his Brother were
about one Hundred Yards from the Sworn at this time, and
heard said Mr. Croxton cry out and upon turing Round
saw two Men running from him towards them -That
they turned into a Field near this Informant and his
Brother at which time one of them said "Damn his Eyes
let us cut across this Field or us shall be Robbed" - That
this Informant and his Brother pursued said two Men
when one of them fell viz John Turner< no role > now present whom
they secured and who at the time of his falling throw away
a Bayonet now produced
