The Information of James Baxter< no role > and Samuel
Wooley< no role > taken before me this 26th. day of May
1784

Who being upon Oath say and first the said James
Baxter< no role > for himself says that a Quantity of Carpet now produced
in this Informants Property and was this Evening between
the hours of seven and eight [..] Stolen in this Informants
Shop-and the said Samuel Wooley< no role > says that the between
the hours of 7 & 8 this Evening saw a person now present
who calls himself John Chip chase in Company with two
other Persons near the said James Baxter< no role > Shop That the said
John Chip< no role > chase was stooping under said James Baxters shop
Whilst [..] one of said Men in Company with [..]
him took from out of said James Baxters Window the
said Carpet on which said Chip chase attempted to run
away but this Informant secured him, when he
threw said Carpet from him.
