Who being on Oath say and first the said James Adair< no role >
says that
this Afternoon about half past two o'Clock in Covent Garden
his
Pocket was picked of his Gold Watch, gold Chain and 3 Gold
Seals, by a Person now present who calls himself Samuel
Matthyson< no role >
whom he instantly secured, and in whose hand
this Informant saw his Watch Chain & Sealsand further says
that after this Informant had secured said Matthyson he was
rescued from him by the Mob. And the said Benjamin Ackers< no role >
says that he this Informant was standing by at this time
and saw the said Samuel Matthyson< no role >
rescued from the said
Mr. Adair, before which he heard Mr. Adair say that "said
Matthyson had stolen his Watch" That this Informant pursued
said Matthyson from thence into the Mews
where he was secured.
