Charles Whalan< no role > Saith he hath been Acquainted with
William Marks< no role > about five Months About three Weeks
ago Marks and this Informants Walking through
Leicester fields the Prisoner Informed him he had found
twoGoldRings in a Piece of Paper, and asked this Informant
to go the Silversmiths Shop and sell one he went into
the Shop was Informed the Ring was Gold but would
not buy it. he went to another Shop who Informed him
it was not Gold, the Prisoner gave this Informant the
Ring who took it to his Mother She Pawned it for half
a Crown, on the Same day he Shewed this Informant
three Large Pieces of Silver Coins and said he wanted to
Sell them went into a Silversmiths Shop in New Street
Covent Garden offered them for Sale, but the man would
not buy them, this Informant asked him how he came
by them who Said his Mistress had given him and all
the Servants there a Piece, Soon after the Prisoner
Informants this Deponent that he had got a Windmill to
Sell which he broke to Pieces, went into a Silversmiths
Shop in Oxford Street but would not buy it, this Informant
went into another Silversmiths in the said Street offered
it for Sale but the Silversmith knowing this Informants
Mistress Stoped the Silver and desired him to Call again
which he did not, the Prisoner some time before told this
Informant he had Sold a Pair of Silver Buckles for
twenty two Shillings
