These are to Certify that at the Delivery of the Kings Gaol of
Newgate holden for the County of Middlesex
at Justice hall in the Old Bailey
in the Suburbs of the City of London
on Wednesday the twenty fifth day of
February in the twenty fourth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the
third King of Great Britain Etc before

one of his Majesty's Serjeants at Law Recorder of the said
City and others their fellows Justices of our said Lord the King assigned to deliver
the said Gaol of Newgate of the prisoners therein being

of the age of twenty sixyears
and
John Pond< no role >
of the age of twenty nine years severally Convicted of felony were
then and there Ordered and Adjudged to be punished by being kept on board
Ships or Vessels properly accomodated for the security employment and health
of the persons to be confined therein and by being employed in hard Labour in
the raising Sand Soil and Gravel from and cleansing the River Thames
or any
other service for the benefit of the Navigation of the said River or in any other
publick works upon the Banks or Shores of the same under the management
and direction of such Superintendant or Superintendants as hath been or shall be
appointed for the River Thames
by the Justices of the peace for the County of
Middlesex
, to wit, the said

for the term of
three years each and the said
John Pond< no role >
for the term of two years pursuant to
the Statute in that Case made and provided Dated this eighth day of March
in the year of our Lord 1784.
