Who being on their Oaths say and first the said Elizabeth
Gameson< no role >
for herselfon her OathSaith That Yesterday
in the afternoonsheabout four o'Clock she went out of
her Husbands Dwelling House in Chamber Street

aforesaidandLooked the parlour Door and Shut the Street
Door after her which goes on a Spring Lock< no role >
The said James Gameson< no role >
for himself saith That about Six o'
Clock last night he went home to his dwelling House in
Chamber Street
aforesaid and knocked several times at
the Street door but finding nobody at home and the Door
fast he went over the way to a publick House and
had some Beer and other refreshment That he stopped
there about three Quarters of an Hour and then went out
to go home. That he saw a light in his said House
and Imagining his Wife
was come homeinhe went and
knocked at the Door which was Immediately opened
and two men rushed out the first in a light Co [..] loured
Coat who ran away up Chamber Street
towards Leman
Street the other who is now present and says his
Name is Richard Stevens< no role >
came out last That he
this Informant Caught at him and got hold of a
Bag which he the said Richard let go and
Ran towards Prescot StreetbutThat he this Informant
pursued the man in the light coat but did not take
him saith That on Examining the Inside of This House he
did not find any thing Missing but found that the Parlour
Door which was Locked had been attempted to be forced
with some kind of an Instrument.
And the said Thomas Roberson< no role >
for himself saith That
last Night about Seven o'Clock it being then
Dark, as he was passing along Chamber Street
afsd.
he saw the aforesaid James Gameson< no role >
go up to
the Door of his said Dwelling House and
presently heard him cry out Stop thief
