-taken before me this 12th.. day of January
1784.
Who being on Oath say and first the said Owen Stratten< no role >
says
that an Iron Grate or Stove now produced, is his property and
has been stolen from his Shop door this Evening. And the
said Francis Dawson< no role >
says that on being informed this Evening
that a Man hur stolen a Grate from his Master's door and
had gone off with it towards Exeter Change
, he this Informants
followed him, and near the Savey Steps he overtook James
Howard< no role >
now present with the Grate now produced on his
back who, upon this Informants laying hold of him, threw
the Grate down and attempted to run away
