Who being on Oath say and first the said Thomas Down< no role >
says that,
the Bill of Exchange now produced purporting to be the Bill of Exchange
of John Quick< no role >
, on Mr. Wm. Boyce No. 29 Swallow Street
for the Payment
of Ten Pounds, to the Order of the said John Quick< no role >
, One Month after date
and dated London Novr. 29th.. 1783, he received of the aforesaid John
Martin< no role >
. And the said John Martin< no role >
says that on or about Saturday
the 29th.. of Novemr. last, he received the said Bill of Exchange with
the Acceptance of WB which now appears on it, from a Person
now present who calls himself John Quick< no role >
, who was Indebted
to this Informant in about £4..7..6, and to whom this Informant
paid the Difference in Cash. And the said William Boyce< no role >
says
that the Acceptance of W B which appears on the said Bill
of Exchange, is not this Informants Hand-writing, nor was
it wrote with this Informant's privity knowledge or consent,
but is false forged and counterfieted and believes was published
as such by the said John Quick< no role >
to the said John Martin< no role >
with
Intent to defraud.
