The Examination of Lawrence Brennan< no role > of George
Street Forster Lane< no role > in the Liberty of St. Martin Le Grand
in the County aforesaid taken before me Joseph Girdler< no role >
Esqr. one of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the
said County this Twenty Third Day of January in the
year of our Lord 1784 and in the twenty fourth year
of his present Majesty's reign.

This Examinant saith that on Thursday the
day of this instant January he saw Harty Hart< no role > go
up the Stairs of the House in which Joseph Stoney< no role > has a
workshop and appartments between the Hours of Six and
seven in the Evening of the same day, and that when he
the said Harty Hart< no role > came to the top if the same pair of
Stairs called out to Jack (meaning Joseph Stoneys
Boy) to bring him down the Key, but the said Harty Hart< no role >
did not wait until the said Boy came down but
Walked up to the Warshop belonging to the said
Joseph Stoney< no role > That this Examinant then
wentupinto an adjoining Room being sent there
upon an Errand and after same little time he saw
the said Harty Hart< no role > come out of the said Joseph
Stoneys Roompull the Door fast after him, and
that he had a large Bundle under his the said Harty
Harts
< no role > Arm, and that he saw him carryitthe said Bundle down
the Stairs, and carry it out of the Street Door
