Beresford< no role > taken before me this 24th day
of January 1784

Who being upon Oath say, and first said William
Beresford< no role > says that on Tuesday Night last about 6 o Clock
this Informants Widow of his Shop was broke and a
Quantity of Cotton, Vilveret now produced stolen thereout and the
said John Beresford< no role > for himself says that he saw
a person nowproducedpresent who calls himself William
Hubbard< no role > break said Window on said Tuesday Night last
and steal said Velveret on which he pursued him
and took him into Custody when he found said Velveret
under his Arm
