taken and made on Oath before me one of his
Majesty Justices of the Peace
in and for the County of Middlesex
the 26th. day of May 1783
This Informant on his Oath Saith that on Saturday the Tenth
day of May Instant about half an hour past Nine o'Clock
at Night he was attacked and Stopt in Batemans row
in the Parish of Saint Leonard Shoreditch
by four Footpads
And robbed by them of a Pair of Plated Shoe Buckles
a pair of silver Knee Buckles set with Stones half a
Guinea in Gold some silver and some half pence, and
saith that he believes he should not be able to swear
to the persons who robbed him by reason that some a
one of the persons who robbed him pulled his had over
his face to [..] prevent him from seeing them
Taken and Sworn the 26th.
