Who being upon Oath say, and first the said John
Allen< no role >
says that this Evening about a Quarter past 6 oClock seeing
a Croud in the Strand
he stopped to see what was the Matter
That in about ten Minutes he felt his Watch drawing out of
his Pocket and on turning round found a Person now present who
calls himself John Eyles< no role >
close behind him endeavouring to
give something to a Person standing close by him which he doth
verily believe to be his Watch & which he afterwards found lying
on the Ground near where said John Eyles< no role >
stoodAnd the

time he had in his Hand a Watch Chain) and lay it down
on the Stones in the middle of the Strand
