The Information of Jeremiah Baker< no role > of Doctors Commons
in the City of London on Clerk to Mr.. Fountain, Proctor
of the same place, taken before me this 20th. day of May
1782

Who being upon Oath says that this afternoon about
five oClock his Pocket was picked of three Guineas and eight shillings
and six pence at the Door of the Two Shilling Gallery of Covent Garden
TheatreThat for some Space of time before his Pocket was
picked, he perceived a person now present who calls himself John Dutton< no role >
who was standing close by himThat whilst he was going towards
the said two shilling Gallery he felt a persons hand in his pocket
and immediately found that his Pocket was turned out and his
Money goneThat on finding his said Money gone he turned
round and perceived the said John Dutton< no role > going fast away from
the two Shilling, to the one shilling Gallery; from which he
doth verily believe the said John Dutton< no role > to be the person that
stole his said Money
