The Information of Francis
Swinburn
< no role > of Blyth in the County
of Northumberland and Master of the good
Ship Betsey now lying on Fletchers
Ways in the River Thames in the said
County. Taken this Fifth day of March
1782 before me One of his Majestys Justices
of the Peace in and for the said County

Who being on his Oath Saith that on or
about the Twenty third day of February last there was
Stolen from him a Ships Boat Containing about Two Tons
and a half of Logwood the property of Samuel Hurry< no role > Esqr .

That at the time the same was Stolen the said Boat
with the Logwood therein was lying along side the said Ship
Betsey then lying in New Crane Tier on the Navigable
River of Thames.

That he verily believes a Quantity of Logwood now
produced and which was found in the Possession of James
Highland
< no role > and William Griffiths< no role > now here present
upon their Examination is apart of the said Logwood so
Stolen as aforesaid. and that the said James Highland< no role >
and William Griffiths< no role > were the Persons who feloniously
took and Rowed away the aforesaid Boat and Logwood
therein.
