THE Information of Arthur Fenham< no role > of No. 35 Old
Gravel Lane Saint George Smith< no role >

taken upon Oath before me, John Sherwood< no role > Esqr. One
of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the said County and Liberty, this
First Day of March in the Year of our Lord
One Thousand Seven hundred and Eighty two
Who saith, That between
the hours of One and two OClock this Morning he was awaked by his
Wife who told him there was some body in the Yard. when Informant
got up and went into the yard and there found Catharine Butler< no role >
(now present) and upon his asking her what Business she had there she
told him two men had helped her owner on their Shoulders. she ther run
up a Ladder into a Lumber Loft and Jumped out of a Window into the
Yard again where this Deponent secured her and delivered her to an
Officer, Saith that he verily believes the said Catharine Butler< no role >
Intention was to have Stolen her Goods and Chattles as a Ship
Stone an Iron Pot. A half Bushel Measure and two Easthen Vans
were removed from the place where they had been left when Informt.
went to Bed to a place very Convenient for their being handed over
the Pailing which she the said Catharine Butler< no role > had got or was lifted over as
aforesaid. and that he believes She said Two men were to have received
the same had she not been discovered.
