[..] voluntary examination of William Ward< no role > , who
[..] Oath, saith, that on the 26th. of December Last
[..] the evening about 8 or 9 OClock he went to
the house of one Sarah Wright< no role > , in Catrine wheel yard
St. James St. who keeps a Queen shop, and asked her how she
did she thanked, him and Invited him in, there being another
woman in Company she proposed playing at threw handed
whist, which they did and had several potts of bur, and
this examinant further saith, that he is sure when
he went into her company that he had in his pockett
two Leather purses the one Containing Eighteen Guineas
and a half and a Gold ring the other Leather purse Containing
a brown piece three half brown pieces, and ten Shillings
and suspected an Silver, that after they had done playing
at cards, she sat in his Laps hugged him and Kissed him
and said she would make him a good wife, and like a
house, and make a fine man of him, that about twelve
OClock the same night, He went away to go home, had
not got a hundred yards but he missed the above said two
purses and his money [..] upon that Imediately went back
to the house of the said Sarah Wright< no role > and found her
appartment shut up, upon which he called at her house
[..] the next Morning, and saw her the said Sarah,
[..] leving she had only taken the purses in Just asked her for
his money which she with a smile denied knowing any
thing off, he then had her apprehended
