Middlesex to wit


The Informations of Jeremiah Smith< no role > and Henry
Cordell
< no role > taken and made on Oath before me one of his
Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the said
County of Middlesex the 13th. day of October
1781.

This Informant Jeremiah Smith< no role > [..] saith that [..] he
is an Iron monger and lives in Shoreditch in the said County
That on Thursday last the 11th. Instant about six o'Clock
in the Evening the said Henry Cordell< no role > came into this Infor-
mants Shop and acquainted him that a Man had stolen an
Iron Stove from this Informants Shop Door and was gone
with it up the Street towards the Church, Whereupon this
Informant went after the Man and overtook him with it
[..] under his Arm before he had got on for as the Church
That the Person who had stolen the Stove, who says his
Name is Abraham Yowell< no role > , seing this Informant pursuing
him, immediately threw down the Stove and endeavoured
to make his Escape, but was stopped by another Person
and taken into Custody

And this Informant Henry Cordell saith that he saw
the said Abraham Yowell< no role > steal the said iron Stove
from the said Mr. Smiths Shop Door and go away with
it towards Shoreditch Church , and this Informant
acquainted Mr. Smith therewith.
