George Malpas< no role > of Charlotte Street Pancras Maketh Oath and
Saith That he this Deponent attended from 9 o Clock in the
Morning until near 5 o Clock in the Afternoon at the Sessions House
in the Old Bailey on the twenty Second day of February last in order
to prosecute Thomas Conniff< no role > for Felony (which Felony was stealing
a Piece of Timber from a House which was Building in Hertford Street
Tottenham Court load agreeable to the Recognizance entered into by this
Deponent for that purpose And this Deponent Saith that when he
left the Sessions House as aforesaid this Deponent was informed
and verily believes the Trial of the said Thomas Conniff< no role > stood
Fourteenth which induced Deponent to believe the Trial of the
said Thomas Conniff< no role > would not come on early the Next morning
And being sent for by a Gentleman to attend him on the
Morning of the Twenty third of said February on particulars Business
(which would have been of a loss for this Deponent not to have
gone about) and being detained there longer than this Deponent expected it was impossible for this Deponent to get to the Sessions
House till past Eleven o Clock when this Deponent was informed
that the Trial of the said Thomas Conniff< no role > had been called on and
that the said Thomas Conniff< no role > had been dischargedAnd this
Deponent Saith he never received any Fee or Reward or did this
this Deponent ever except or hope, or Does he now expect or
hope to receive any Fee or Edward of any kind Whatsoever
from any Person or Persons whatsoever Not to appearagainst
