then called Mrs. Marsh up into Parlour and said which
of You am I to beleive, you or your Maid, You say it was a
a Boy and she says she has not had a Child Mrs. Marsh
then made answer, Yes she has had a Child. Deponent
then asked the Maid if she had any Baby Linnen, and
she said had a Cap that was almost done, and some other
things cut out but not done, Deponent says that yesterday
Morning she went to Mrs. Marsh's House with Mrs.
Thompson, and then desired Mrs. Marsh would relate before
Mrs. Thompson whether she had not told Deponent, that
it was a Boy, and that it was so long, Mrs. Marsh said
she did, but she had made a Mistake, it was the After
Burthen, Deponent said that could not well be, for that
Mrs. Marsh had said her Maid had Miscarried on Thursday
night and the after Burthen did not come away till Friday
night.
