Booksellers Wife in Coventry Court who lives opposite to
Mrs. Marsh came to Deponent, and said Mrs. Thompson,
Becky is brought to Bed, Deponent said, when, she said,
We miss'd her on Thursday night, and on Sunday she
made her appearance again as usual, doing her Work
she looks like Death, and her great Belly is all gone,
Deponent went yesterday about Eleven o'Clock in the
Morning to Mrs. Marsh, and said to her, what a sad
Misfortune this is that has happened in your House
Ma am' Yes says she, my maid has Miscarried, but
I am quite innocent, Deponent then said, If you are
innocent, deliver her up to Justice, and prove yourself
innocent to the World, No indeed Mrs. Marsh replied,
as the Neighbours have begun it, so let them end it
Deponent then said so it shall then,andit shall not
pass so, and then went away with one Mrs. Edwards,
to give information concerning this matter.
