The Information of Joseph
Willgoose
< no role > of Peter Street in
the Parish of Saint Margaret
Westminster Breeches Maker &
Glover taken before me One
of His Majestys Justices of the
Peace for the said County

Who being upon Oath saith that about half an
hour past Eight on the Night of the 7th. of April
last he was coming from Hampstead to London and
about half a Mile from Hampstead Town near the
Sign of the Cart and Horses he was attacked by
five Mens one of whom had a Cutlass who Seized
hold of him & pulled his Hatt ever his Eyes and held
it for some time and demanded this Informants
Money with horrid Impresations and this Informt.
struggled very much with them and begged they would
take his Hatt from his Eyes & he should give them
his Money which they at last did and this Informt.
then gave them One Guinea in Gold and Eight Shilling
and Six pence in Silver they asked for his Watch
but he told them he had not any And this Informant
upon his Oath further saith that she three person
now present who call themselves William Pyke< no role >
Charles West< no role > otherwise Thomas Collingwood< no role > and
John Robinson< no role > are three of the said five Mon
who AttackedandSeized hold of this Informant
and Robbed him at the time and place & in the
manner above described
