& this Informant saith that the said Note is not
of the hand Writing of this Informant noris the same
of his Signing but is a false and forged Note and that
he never gave any such Note he therefore charges the said
Jonathan Fiske< no role > On Suspicion of having Forget the Name &
hand Writing of him his a aforesaid

And this Informant William Fox< no role > , for himself saith
that he is a Bookseller and liver in Holborn [..]
and has Sold agreatNumber of Books to one
Jonathan Fiske< no role > a Bookseller in Edward Street
Portman Square St Mary le Bone that in
November last the said Jonathan Fiske< no role > came
to this Informant and gave an Order for a Number
of Bocks which came to about Sixty or Seventy
Pounds and desired this Informant would take
the before mentioned Note of Mr. Farrills for
£150 as a Security for the Payment of the said
Books. that he this Informants presented the
said Roth Payment when it became due which
was on the 15th. of this present Month of May
to the said Mr. Farrill who say'd he did not believe
it was his Note he was certains he never gave such
A Note but that it was like his hand Writing &
say'd this Informant must take it to Mr Fiske
which he did and Mr. Fiske persisting to this Informt
that it was Mr Farrill Not and that he should
be made to Pay it this Infornant presented it
again this Day to Mr. Farril who refused the
payment of it and say'd it was a Forgery
upon which Mr Fiske was sent for by Mr Farrill
to his House where a Constable took him into
Charge And this Informant further saith
