saith that the said John Knowles< no role > is one of the
persons who Assaulted himself and Mr Harrison
with an Intent to Rob them

And this Informant Edward North< no role > for himself saith
that last Monday was sennight about Eight o Clock in the
Evening that about the five Mile Stone on the Edgware
Road he was Attacked by a person on Horse backs who
Catched hold of the Bridle of this Informant Horse and
at the same time cryed Dann your Eyes stop and give
me what you have about you Immediately upon which
this Informant struck him with a Stick which made
him let go the Bridle when this Informant out Clapped Spurn
to his Horse & rode away Immediately after an alarm
was given by this Informant and others when after
some little times the Highway man passed them going
towards London where upon this Informant Pursued &
soon seen him fath from his Horse and took him to the
Sign of the Cock in Kilburn where upon searching him
this Informant found in his Coat pocket loose One
Guinea in Gold one half Crown Pieces & the Six pence in Silver
and [..] particularly observed at the time that the half
Crown was bloody And this Informant further saith
that he took particular Notices of the persons Cock
who Stopped him being torn & Shettered in the left Room
and is certain that the person now present who calls
himself John Knowles< no role > is the person who Stopped this
Informant in manner aforesaid and is the person
whom he pursued & tookfound the Money& upon
whom the Money was taken by this Informant as
above described
