taken before
me this 4th. day of Septemr 1775.
Who being upon Oath Says that about 9 o Clock in the Evening of the
first of August last as she this Informant was in her Lodgingsroom
two pair of Stairs at No 44 in Union Street
Aforesaid, Edward Burdock< no role >
who keeps the Public House known by the Sign of "Sir Isaac Newton< no role >

[..] York Street or Union Street aforesaid came in, and asked [..]
whether she would let him lay with her, to which she answered No.
that the said Edward Burdock< no role >
then locked the door, took hold of her,
and by force Pulled her into an Adjoining room and threw her on
a Bed, where he Feloniously Ravished and Carnally knew her against
her will and Consent. Says she made all the Resistance in
her Power, and Struck him several time in the Face.
