John Fiveland< no role > of Mile end New Town in the parish of
Saint Dunstan Stepney otherwise Stebunheath in the County of
Middlesex Weaver and Richard Warner< no role > of White Row in the
Parish of Christ Church Spital Fields in the County of Middlesex
Pawn broker Make Oath and Say that on or about the Eighteenth day
of November last they were bound in Recognizance this Deponent
John Tweland to prosecute and the other Deponent Richard Warner< no role >
to give Evidence against Margaret Spratt< no role > for Stealing several things
the property of this Deponent John Fiveland And these Deponents
further Say that on Friday the Ninth day of December last in the
Sessions Week these Deponent attended at Hicks Hall in Saint John
Street and Preferred Two Bills of Indictment and gave their Evidence
thereon before the Grand Jury against the said Proper immediately
afterwards Attended at the Old Bailey the remaining part of the Day
and these Deponents Say that they Attended the next Day Saturday and
that in the Evening of the same Day the person who keeps the door where
the Witnesses go in called out and gave Notice that all Witnesses
Attending against London Prisoners might go then and Attend again on
the Monday Morning following when the London Jury would come on
at Nine o'Clock and these Deponents Say that they Attended all Day
Saturday until Court broke up and that in Consequence of the above
Notice given by the person who keeps the Door as aforesaid these
Deponents did not Attend until about Eleven o' Clock on the Monday Morning
when on inquiry they were informed that the Middlesex Jury came
on first and that the said Prisoner was then just Discharged And
these Deponents Say that they did not Neglect to Attend and prosecute
and give Evidence against the said Prisoner through any favour
or Affection or for any Reward or the hope or promise thereof
