taken before me One of his Majesty's
Justices of the peace for the said
County
Who being upon Oath saith that on Monday Night
last he went to search the Lodgings of William
Cassin< no role >
and Margaret Cassin< no role >
the persons now present in Maynard Sheet in
the parish of Saint Giles in the Fields
for a Felony
upon which search to look after the Stolen Goods
he found concealed between the Bodding and the Bedstead
the following Implements for Colouring Blank Pieces
of Copper so as to resembling the Silver Coin of this
Realm Vizt. two Steps for Smoothing several Blank
Pieces of Copper of the Size of a Shilling several other
Pieces of the Size of a Six pence of Horn
with a Quantity
of Shift for Silvering a Hammer & other Tools all
which are now produced and this Informant found upon the
person of the said William Cassin< no role >
a Piece of Blank Copper
[..] partly Whitened so as
to resemble a Six pence and upon thispersonInformants
attempting to search the said Margaret Cassin street
pulled something out of her pocket & threw into the Fire
Place which this Informant Immediately searched and
found the three pieces of Blank Copper of the size of a
Shilling and three other Square pieces of Blank Copper
now produced which this Informant is certain are the
same which she threw into the fire place as
abovementioned this Informant verily believesthat
that the said two Persons practice theart ofColouring
the said Pieces of Blank Copper to resemble the
[..] Current Silver Coin of this Kingdom
