Attorney touching the said Charge and this Deponent Saith That in
Consequence of this Deponents Enquiry and Directions as aforesaid the said
Eleanor Smallbrook< no role > came to this Deponent at Egremont. House on Saturday
Evening the Twenty fifth of June last when she Returned home from her Week
Work and this Deponent informed the said Eleanor Smallbrook that she
must go to the said Attorney to be Examined and give in her Evidence touching
the said Robberrys when she informed this Deponent she was ready and
Willing to go to any place and before any personal at any time to give in her
Testimony touching the said Robberrys and this Deponent Appointed her
to come on the Monday Morning following Vizt. the Twenty Seventh of
June last in Order to go with this Deponent to the said Attorney for that
purpose and which She repeatedly Expressed herself ready and willing to do
and this Deponent Saith That the said Eleanor Smallbrook mot Coming
Agreeable to this Deponents said Appointment and her promises as
aforesaid this Deponent upon Several days and times from the said Monday
the said Twenty Seventh day of June to the Seventh day of this Instant
July by himselfthe Other Deponent Elizabeth Taylor< no role > and other
persons hath made and Caused to be made the most Diligent Search and
Enquiry in Order to find out the said Eleanor Smallbrook to Sub [..] ena her to
give her Testimony upon the Tryal of the said Indictments but hath
not been able so to do Not With standing this Deponent and the said Other
Deponent Elizabeth Taylor hath made Sych Strict and particular Enquiry which this
Deponent Lyken Says is as follows that he hath Several times between
Monday the Twenty Seventh of June last and the Seventh day of July
Instant made Enquiry an Caused Enquiry to be made for the said Eleanor
Smallbrook who has been informed Lodged at or near the Angel Publick
House in Tothill Street Westminster and Worked in Gardens about
London at the following Places Vizt. at the said Angel Inn, at the
White Swan or Publick House at Hammersmith, at Durviller
Esquire Hammersmith, at Mr. Stows Gardens in Hammersmith & at Mr.
Stows Gardens at Chiswick, where he this Deponent was informed she had
Worked About three Weeks Ago also at Frank Nasher< no role > a Lodging House
for Garding Working People at Hammersmith , and also at John Williams< no role >
the Widow Grants Gardens at Hammersmith and Wallham Green, at the
White Hart at Wallam Green , at Gab tree Gardens , at Ruebengalls
Gardens near Brompton , at Majors Gardens near the the Gab tree, at the
Castle a Publick House in Hammersmith and at a Great many other
places, at many of which places the said Eleanor Smallbrook was known
but that this Deponent Lynken was not able to get Sight of her or
any Certain Information where she might be found not with standing the
most diligent Search and enquiryAnd this Deponent Elizabeth Taylor for
herself Saith That on Wednesday the Twenty Ninth June One Thousand
Seven Hundred and seventy four about Nine oClock in the Evening She went
to the Angel Publick House in Tothill Street Westminster and Enquired
for Mr. Smallbrook on which she was informed that she had been there
on the Sunday proceeding and had Say'd that she should be there
again
