The Information of Joseph Fowle< no role >
taken before me this 25th. day
of May 1774
Who being upon Oath says that on Saturday Evening the 7th.
of May Instant he went into St. James's Park
with a Woman that
whilst they stood concerning there a person now present who calls
himself William Rooke< no role >
came up to them and began to quarrel
with this Informant upon which the said Woman went away, that
after she was gone the said William Rooke seized hold of this
Informant's Arm and told him he must have Some Money, that
this Informant refusing to give it him the said Rooke insisted
upon having Money from him or that he would make an
Information agt. him for attempting Sodomy upon him, that
this Informant gave him about 14s 0d in Silver and Some half pence
that the said William Rooke insisted upon having more Money
and this Informant saying he had no more the said William
Rooke demanded his Watch which he [..] not giving,
the Said William Rooke forcibly took it out of his Pocket
