that a Gentleman had called upon her but could not
stay would callagain, on Friday Morning this
Informant then went up stairs to her own
Apartment about Eleven o Clock the same day
the said Ann Sheppard< no role > came up to this Informt.
Apartment andaskedtold her she begged pardon
for calling her down for there was not any Gentleman
who wanted her for it was only Miss Paterson
and Mr Lewis who waited to see what size
she was as they wanted to get Lewis out of
Tothill fields Bridewell (meaning the Brother of
the said Mr Lewis) then she asked her to
Lend her a Gown o Clock and Bannet this
Informant asked her for what, and she sayed for
the Prisoner to make his escape and that it would
not be any harm so to do and asked this Informant
to go with her which she refused either to lend the
things or go with her but the said Sheppard [..]
pressing this Informant very much she at last
consentedandto go with her that about five o
Clock in the afternoon this Informantandthe said

the persons now present all went from Sheppard's House to Tothillfield
Bridewell before they went out of the House
Ann Sheppard< no role > put a Black Sattin Gown upon
this Informant over her own Gown and this Informant puthastwo
Clocksanand a Bonnet on which the said Ann
Sheppard< no role > told this Informant was to dress Lewis
for him to make his Escape in that about six
o Clock they went into Tothill field Bridewell to
the Apartments of William Lewis< no role > and drank Tea
with him after which the said Resolve Smith [..]
Samuelone of the Irons off his left Leg and tied the Link
to his right Thigh with a Handkerchief and then they allhelped to
except this Informant helped to dress
Dress him in Womens Cloath & which was a
Linen Gam that Sarah Evans< no role > (who was in the
Gaolprison when they came in) had brought upon
her own back the said Sarah Evans< no role > also put her black Silk Cardinal
