for Felony.

William Morris< no role > of High Street Whitechapell in the County of
Middlesex Breeches maker Maketh Oath and Saith that on or about the
first day of September One Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy three
he was bound by Recognizance in the Penal Sum of Forty Pounds upon
Condition that he this Deponent should appear at the then next Session of
the Peace to be held at Hicks Hall in Saint John Street in and for the County of
Middlesex
and give Evidence on a Bill of Indictment to be preferred by William
German
< no role > against the said Amelia Isaacs and Sarah Waters< no role > for Feloniously
taking and carrying away Fourteen Shillings the Property of the said
William German< no role > and that in case the same should be returned a true Bill
then that this Deponent should appear and give Evidence thereon at the
then next Session of Gaol Delivery of Newgate to be holden for the said
County of Middlesex And this Deponent saith that about a day or
Twobefore last September Session (being the next Session
immediately after he this Deponent became so bound) he this Deponent
did make the Stricklost Enquiry he possibly could for the said William
German
< no role > the Prosecutor amongst the Parish Officers of Whitechappel
and at every other place in the Neighbourhood of the said William
German
< no role > and the only Information he this Deponent could receive.
was that the said William German< no role > had not been seen or heard of since the
first of Septemr. the time of his being bound in recognizance with this Deponent. and that it was supposed he was gone to Sea the said William
German
< no role > being a Sea faring Man but when he would return to
England this Deponent could not learn And this Deponent further
saith that upon receiving such Information he this Deponent
apprehended he could not carry on the Prosecution against the said
Amelia Isaacs< no role > and Sarah Waters< no role > the Prisoners as he was not bound to
prefer a Bill of Indictment against them and as he could give no
Evidence whatsoever touching the Felony being only Constable of
