Who being upon Oath say and first the said Thomas Withers< no role >
for himself
says that on Wednesday last a person now present who calls himself
Philip Waters< no role >
Published at true a Promissory Note for Payment of
Money now Produced purporting to be the Promissory Note of Lewis
Poole< no role >
for the Payment of two pounds two Shillings unto Philip Waters< no role >
or Order on Demand dated Decr. 16 1772, and the said Lewis Poole< no role >
for himself says that the Name Lewis Poole signed to the said
Promissory Note is not of this Informants Hand writing but is falsely
made forged [..] and counterfeited, and these Informants further
say that they do verily believe the Said Philip Waters< no role >
did feloniously
publish the said Promissory Note for Payment of Money as true knowing
it to be falsely made forged and counterfeited with Intention
to defraud this Informant the said Lewis Poole< no role >
