a Servant to this Informant and brought by him
from Lisbon to England had taken and Carried away
the Said several Piece of now Portugal Gold Corn
had him taken before the Magistrate at the
Rotation Office in Litchfield Street where he declared
and acknowledge the taking of a Great number of
the said thirty Six Shilling Piece out of the said
Drawer and Trunk at several different times the
Property of this Informant and this Informant
Certain that the said John Johnson< no role > had no Gold
Coin his own property either at or since the time
of his Arrival in England accept one thirty six Shillings Piece which this Informt. [..] him [..] And this Informant further
saith that upon seeing the tow Strict now produced
he is certain they are his property and were Stolen from
him in his said Apartments

a Headborough taken as above

Who severally being upon Oath say And first this
Informant Charles Grubb< no role > for himself saith that he
is a Constable that on Friday last he apprehended
one John Johnson< no role > now present a Servant to the
other Informant John Bedoit< no role > on Suspicion of
Stealing a Number of Portugal Pieces of Gold Coin
called thirty Six Shilling Pieces upon this Informt.
searching the Wife of the said John Johnson< no role > he
found in her pocket the Ten new Portugal pieces of
Gold Coin now produced & upon further search he
